The teeth on the cams are a bit agro.

Most cam surfaces are squared off with grooves  for a reason, to apply the most metal surface to rock. The sharper teeth tend to skate in smooth side granite and over time chew up sandstone, nothing a file couldn't fix I guess. Anyone find a price or source for the #5 & 6?

Wasn't there something else almost exactly like this?  Maybe that's what Skully is talking about.

Yeah, it'd work in a pinch, but it'd have to be quite a pinch.
I'd prefer a big friend or a Giant.
I guess those Euros are in love with their hinge lookin' things. Meh.

I stole that line from Chuck Pratt.  I think he actually said, "Technique is our protection."  Not sure what climb he was talking about, but for some reason I'm thinking that stuff over on the Elephant... fatal mistake, worst error, doom, despair.... whatever they are.  Anyone got the real poop?

Fred was amused by, but not an early adopter of, this technology.
i believe his exact words were "Those things aren't on my rack"
Hang on while I find the photos....
