That was supposed to be a Tower trip for me too..... planned since last year.... but since my stool pattern got altered, I've not even left the house. I'm fat as hell, super busy, and just started another remodel. I will never get out.
Next event for me will the annual Turkeys in the Wide..... planning has just begun. Sound off if you are interested.

We, Jaybro, Mike and I, kinda wandered around with the intention of getting on some wide, but with all the good weather excuses only managed to go up one wide project, a new route around the corner from Ultra Violets which has the working name: I.S.M.W.W.C.I, which will probably go around 5.11 with very interesting pro placement at the top. We went over to Blair to boulder University of Mars but it was just not in the cards that day, as we left it for a late beer & bouldering session. By the time we were ready it was already raining...
We had a lot of weather, some of it was good, but the last couple of days just wet and relatively cool, and no climbing, not even good enough to put some anchor bolts at the top of the project.
I'll post some pictures of the project if y'all promise to ask Jaybro before you snake the FA...

That would be, FFA, or something. Although mike Did free it, though he wasn't on lead...
Would the 'working' name (no need to spell it out here, or anywhere online, BTW!) be appropriate if Shanti lead it free?

I.S.M.W.W.C.I = "I Shat Myself Whilst Wide Crack Inept?"
OT, but for any of you that give a damn, I started "walking" again on Thursday. None too graceful after nine weeks on crutches.

aye, Veed has been on my mind almost every year since I picked up the 97 Kopischka guide a year or so after doing a trip to DETO as a teenager and hearing my uncle ramble on about how neat it was there for the entire length of South Dakota from Minnesota.

I'll be coming back down from Canaada around the end of July or so with the kids. Looking to hit the wide.. Been learning it proud on lead- usually run out 60 feet in a death fall - for about 3 months now.
I'll try to get some wide pics up - I've been saving up..
Jaybor, goatboy?? So what is the strory for the party?? I would also love to climb Devils Tower!!!!!!! Maybe a kind wife, daughter, sister, or creepy uncle would like to hang with my kids for a day while Jaybro and I get up some routes!!!!
Hells ya, riley

I like the MP description of that route, too, .........Inversion, technically demanding....Brutal pivot.......painful, blue collar grovel.........Whoa. Reach Deep, eh? or what? Right on.

Yeah, Well, that's Colorado, too. I find Wyoming both more & much less accomodating. No prancing is tolerated, or at least not much, eh?

Not me... just finished with the big machine grinding concrete all day, prepping for an acid stained floor. Way fun. Now I get to detail the entire house floor with an angle grinder to get what the big machine missed. Which is a lot! Maybe next year. I suk.

FWIW I'll be heading up to the Bozeman bouldering party around the 11th or 12th and coming back on the 16th. It looks like I may have room for one or two more riders in my truck if someone is up for a side trip, lemme know.
