This is classic entertainment at it's finest. Larry and Curly make me laugh my ass off i'm not sure what happened to Moe? Maybe he was holding the camera? I can't tell you how many times I watched this just for the slapstick humor. It's a masterpiece.

So many people climbing "5.15" these days? Would Wolfgang rated these routes 5.15? I think that Alex Megos will do the first 5.16 some day. What is the human limit?

(In fact, a 1954 National Film Board documentary, from the early days of television. Much of it filmed on Grouse Mountain, on the Vancouver's north shore. Lots of history in it, visible and implicit.)

Some would say it's already been reached and that the rest is numbers gaming. I mean how does it get harder than requiring a one finger pull up?

Thanks for that BK, I had heard that story from Jim but some of those details were missing. Good interview, hard to watch. Fucking guy pounding filter-less coffin nails to the end. Incredible conviction, miss that guy.

Ya never knew when you would run into him at the Leap or in the valley. We always shared beers with him when we would run into him at the end of the day. It was always the high light of the trip. I loved his stories and his advice on routes. It's sad to think there will never be beers with the Bird at the center of the universe or at the leap parking lot.

I will never forget the day I was leading one of the more advanced Ice routes at Lee Vining and a guy on the route to my right says to me "Hey you're looking pretty good over there!" It was fucking Jeff Lowe! Made my day. He was truly a nice guy.
