Okay, chumps.  Some of us do more than spray on political topics, which I enjoy, btw.  Here's a little TR of my recent climb.  Hope you enjoy.  Get out there.  Check yer knots.

Fantastic.

Not been on the peak but backpacked into that lake basin 5 years ago June. Went in thru Laurel Lakes road. TH is almost 10K, so easier access. Did not see a soul..

As for that Avatar picture, in her prime there was no finer, probably still. Remember in Dusk Till Dawn when she came out on stage? Holey Frijoles!

Thanks, guys.  Heh, I was so mired in the "jabber" I didn't realize there was a TR forum.  Thanks for the shift, Russ.  Yeah, Selma.  Hooo, man.

Red Slate is cool cuz it kinda stands on its own.  Reminds me of a mini-Pumori.  Dean aka Cragman mentioned he did a body recovery of a couple who, after climbing the couloir, decided, for some crazy reason, to descend the crappy face to the left.  The rock up there is TERRIBLE.  Don't do it.  I can't imagine the mess.  Easy slopes to the south and to the west will get you off in one piece.  Great area.

@Brian:  Hah!
