Yes, I had gotten sour beta from my frienemy Snoopy, who told me it eats up green aliens. I started climbing with 2, and places one right away. So I called down to the ground crew to toss
Another one up.

Well the toss overshot me, but I caught it on the way down.

Didn’t place it.

Nice catch!

A couple more Josh shots...  Who are these people that keep saying Josh is a pile of choss, anyway?

Not sure what you mean (Not the first time).  ;)

Since the pics I posted are mos def not on choss, I think that was my point.

Continuing in the spirit of a spray thread, here's more not choss. Of course spraying about 5.11 doesn't count for much these daze, but it's not choss.

Oh, too bad you can't see the belayer there. Yowza!

Very rude of me not to mention the photographers. That last one was taken by Guy Keesee. (Jane's Addiction).

The first is of Bamboozled (over by Rollerball) pic by Karen Tracy.
The second is of Igor Prince of Poodles (pic by Rob Brown). The guy at the base belaying is one time Josh regular and climber extraordinaire John Stark.

Nice. I got spanked on the Bamboozler... though no way .10d, read later somewhere that a hold broke. Thought I saw the scar when I was hanging on it trying to figure out what to do n

I don't know if I did it before or after a hold broke. Either way I thought it was a real sandbag. Oh wait, Dave Mayville sandbagging??

Ever try Bamboozled again? Hall of horrors. omg.

I remember when Mayville, Too Strong, started showing up at Suicide Rock. His footwork was hopeless. We kept trying to get the idea through his thick head, but the effort was futile. One day, in the parking lot, Dave told me he was going to try New Generation that day. My buds and I went up to Tahquitz. All afternoon we kept hearing, from all the way across the valley, "Nooooo!" as Dave took to the air.

Then one day he figured out he had feet, the rest is history.

hah.  Some guy rapping down took that. It's a good angle but does make it look steeper than it is.  It's only 10b or 10d, can't remember.
