Popped cherry

My first taste o' the wyde.
In leather boots, stiff enough you could probably strap crampons on.
Some say child abuse, I say a fortunate childhood.

Offwidth is fine if you have big legs. Just jam that thing in there and rest. You skinny guys need to put on some weight.

Fukkit Anyhow

Does the Cleft go left or should I try right?
I asked the Cowboy as we talked one night.
He said either way it's not real tight,
That when he did it he'd had a horrible fight
And I'd have to struggle with all of my might.
I did not sleep till late that night:
My mind was filled by dread and fright
And I wasn't too hopeful that I could on-sight.
Getting to the Cookie at dawn's early light,
I took one look and my face turned white;
Then I nearly filled my pants with shite.
I tried it left but it didn't go right.
I backed off and gave up the fight
Cuz I'm chickenshit and my weight is light.

I remember a story- fiction.

The dude (climber) is close to the end of a 1 year road trip. All sorts of demons in his head- the usual climbing fiction clap trap.... my wife, kids, the real meaning of it all etc....

So the dude has this giant, long OW to climb- just so he can get his “head together”.... so he is climbing with the anchor bolts as the goal- and all these thoughts go through his head- hits the bolt and is so happy that he made it!!!! Leans back and the bolt pulls (they do that all the time you know) and he falls to his death!

That story????

I remember that one, in the climbing art, maybe? Wasn’t he in the hospital on life support in the last scene?

Boom Bad Karma first ascent
survival is our life, we live from day to day
never know who you're gonna meet in a money making state

everybody lives here now, the dustbin of the world
an unwanted pool of labor with our promises of pearls
